Current Needs

Dear Friends,

Hope you are all enjoying your summer! It is with great pleasure that I greet you all as the incoming President for the Childhood League for the next two years, 2011-2012 and 2012-2013.

We have many exciting endeavors to focus on as a League over the next two years. The first is related to our potential new location, since the Columbus School Board voted unanimously in favor of a proposed lease agreement and partnership with The Childhood League, Inc. This agreement provides us with the option of building a new state-of-the art, fully accessible Center on the historic Fort Hayes Campus. The second is the relocation of our annual fundraiser, Merry-Go-Round, from The Aladdin Shrine Temple to the Capitol Theatre at the Riffe Center. Merry-Go-Round will take place May 5, 2012 at its new location.

These exciting changes are the first of many steps toward the achievement of our goal to continue to provide the best possible early learning opportunities for our community’s children with special needs and increase the League and Center’s awareness among the Columbus community.
