For more than 65 years The Childhood League has improved the lives of central Ohio’s young children with special needs and its members are dedicated to continuing this legacy. Toward this aim, the League has established a new four-year strategic plan that reflects its core values and ambitions.
Referred to as L.E.A.D, the League’s strategic plan is both focused and accountable, and includes four building blocks to success – League Leadership, Educational Leadership, Advocacy and Development - with complementing goals, strategies and outcomes for each.
In partnership with the community, the League looks forward to achieving its goals to promote a healthy childhood for all children. The following is a brief overview of the objective of each building block:
League Leadership: To continue to cultivate and stimulate a loyal, supportive group of women to act as the foundation of the Center’s continued strength and vibrancy
Educational Leadership: To encourage inquiry, expression and achievement of all young children by means of enriched learning opportunities and expansive services that distinguish the Center as a premier early learning program
Advocacy: To generate awareness and appreciation for children with special needs while elevating the Center as a nationally acclaimed education facility committed to providing personalized learning opportunities
Development: To promote operational and programmatic Center growth by means of donor and leadership involvement
