The Childhood League announced that it has selected Todd Kegler and Debra Penzone as the distinguished winners of its Schoedinger Family Outstanding Service Award. In addition, Donna Hazle Glanzman was named as the recipient of the League’s 2010 Eleanor Craig Bowsher Award. The winners were announced and honored at the League’s annual fund-raiser, Merry Go Round.
Dating back to 1971, the Schoedinger Family Outstanding Service Award recognizes groups, corporations and individuals who have gone above and beyond in support of The Childhood League Center. The award was renamed in 2005 in commemoration of the League’s 60th anniversary to honor the Schoedinger family, whose many years of dedicated service to the Center is representative of the qualities honored with the award.
The Eleanor Craig Bowsher Award was established in 2004 in honor of the fifth Childhood League president whose proposal for a fund-raiser featuring League members on stage singing and dancing resulted in the first Merry Go Round in 1949. The award is presented to an assisting board member for exemplary and ongoing leadership and support of the League.
