Referrals & Admission

Central to The Childhood League Center’s mission is serving children with special needs. Programs are designed to promote positive development and learning for all children, and to build a strong sense of community among all children, families and the Center’s professional staff. The Center’s school year program runs from late August to early June. Referrals are accepted throughout the calendar year.

If your child has special needs:

Birth through age 3: A developmental evaluation and eligibility (Part C) through Help Me Grow is required. You or your HMG service coordinator may contact Nancy Milliken or Denise Woods at the Center at (614) 253-6933 for a tour. Please bring a copy of your child’s evaluation report and Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).

Ages 3 to 5: A multi-factored evaluation and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) through your local school district is required. Please contact Carla Bearden at the Center at (614) 253-6933 for a tour. Please bring a copy of your child’s evaluation and IEP.

If your child is meeting developmental milestones as a typical learner:

Ages 3-5: A developmental screening and a physician’s medical report is required prior to enrollment. To register for screening at the Center and/or to take a tour of the Center, contact Carla Bearden at the Center at (614) 253-6933.
