Program Compliance Manager
Position Summary:
The Program Compliance Manager is responsible for the oversight of all licensing and regulatory standards across our Early Intervention and Preschool programs. This role ensures total adherence to the Department of Children & Youth (DCY) licensing rules and Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) standards. Reports directly to the Chief Program Officer (CPO). This is a 12-month, Monday through Friday position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
• Licensing Lead: Ensure all programs maintain 100% compliance with DCY rules, policies, and procedures; maintain readiness for unannounced inspections.
• SUTQ Management: Enforce and document adherence to Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) standards to maintain or improve program ratings.
• Safety & Emergency: Monitor and record monthly attendance counts for fire, tornado, and safety drills; schedule quarterly safety drills in collaboration with CPO; assist in the development of Emergency Recovery Handbook.
Data Management & Grant Reporting
• Grant Coordination: Serve as the Data Manager for Early Start Columbus (City of Columbus) and Early Childhood Education (ECE) grants; submit monthly attendance, assessment scores, and student identification data in collaboration with CPO and senior accountant.
• Reporting: Prepare monthly reports for the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Ohio Department of Education, and local school districts.
• Records Integrity: Ensure all annual re-enrollment paperwork and new student paperwork is verified and compliant.
Personnel & Operations
• Supervision: Directly supervise custodian, nutrition/kitchen staff and front-desk personnel to ensure operational efficiency. Serves as a member of the Leadership team.
• Vetting: Obtain and verify all required background checks and documentation for volunteers and student interns.
• Collaboration: Preschool Supervisor and CPO to develop the annual academic calendar and Family Handbook.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
• Experience: Proven experience developing and maintaining student records and programmatic operations data.
• Software Expertise: High proficiency in student databases is required.
• Leadership: Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Ohio DCY licensing and SUTQ frameworks.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to synthesize complex data into clear presentations, reports, and outcome statistics.
• Discretion: Must exercise a high level of judgment and confidentiality when handling sensitive family, student and personnel information.
• Communication: Expert interpersonal skills to interface with families, community organizations, and state program representatives.
Physical Requirements & Environment
• Environment: Professional office and educational setting.
• Schedule: Standard 40-hour work week, year-round.
• Ability: Must be able to navigate a multi-program facility and remain stationary for extended periods of data management.

Position Summary:
The Childhood League Center is a fully inclusive, non-profit early childhood center with a long history in the Columbus, Ohio community with a 5-star Step Up to Quality rating. Our preschool program serves children aged 2-6 with and without special needs, and our team-focused, transdisciplinary approach supports optimal growth for children, their families, and our team members. We value strong relationships as the foundation for all our work with children, families, community members, and staff.
If you are interested in joining our team, you will have to have a current license to teach preschool special education in Ohio. We are looking for a good communicator with a collaborative spirit and positive attitude who will take a proactive approach to problem-solving and working with team members and families.
Requirements:
• Candidates must be licensed through the Ohio Department of Education to teach preschoolers with special needs aged 3-5 years old.
• Required license or certification: Ohio Department of Education license or endorsement to teach Preschool Special Education.
• Preferred: Dual licensure in early childhood general and special education (Ohio license or endorsement to teach typical and special needs preschoolers).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership for your team in planning/implementation of activities and interventions, classroom management & organization, communication with families, communication with administration, and compliance requirements.
• Provide inviting, developmentally appropriate environments indoors and out that support implementation of consistent routines, engaging learning experiences, and individualized interventions.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with Ohio Early Learning & Development Standards and meet the individual needs of children and the group as a whole.
• Contribute to the development of students’ IEPs in collaboration with our team members, team members from each child’s school district, and children’s family members.
• Plan and implement interventions and behavior plans to support achievement of IEP goals for children with special needs in collaboration with specialists on your classroom team and with students’ families.
• Administer developmental screenings and assessments for the purpose of identifying strengths and needs of individual children, developing lesson plans and interventions that are appropriate for each child, monitoring child progress, reporting progress to families and school districts, and to comply with state-mandated requirements.
• Plan and conduct teacher/family conferences at least twice a year (following Center schedule and individually as needed). Prior to in-person classes, teaching teams will conduct “home visits” virtually.
• Collaborate effectively with Teacher Assistants, Childhood League volunteers and community volunteers, and students completing field placement hours in our Center for the purpose of providing enriching child and family experiences and strengthening community partnerships.
• Maintain Ohio Professional Licensure by meeting Ohio Department of Education requirements.
• Meet annual and biennial state requirements for training and professional development related to preschool licensing and inter-agency agreements.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; ability to quickly stoop, squat, run, kneel, crouch, bend, crawl, push, pull or twist, floor play work (physically able to sit for long periods of time on hard floor surfaces and/or limited carpet area). Will be required to move/lift/relocate pieces of adaptive equipment.

Early Intervention Physical Therapist –16 hours per week, year round
The Childhood League Center, a licensed state of the art early childhood education program, has an exciting opportunity for a part-time 16 hours per week, year-round early intervention physical therapist.
General Summary: Assist in promoting a child’s mobility, quality of life, independence, and overall development within the home and the community by working with the family to address their priorities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide evidenced-based Early Intervention physical therapy services through the coaching approach.
• Provide information and education to families, caregivers, and team members in order to support a child’s development during daily activities and routines, as well as within natural environments. Collaborate with a child’s family or caregivers to increase competence and confidence, in order to support a child’s gross motor and overall development.
• Attend Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings and updates, participate in development of IFSP outcomes, and address IFSP outcomes with families during ongoing home visits.
• Complete documentation and required paperwork write reports, collect data, and maintain records.
• Complete ongoing assessments, including annual re-assessments, in order to determine continued eligibility for Early Intervention services.
• Assist families with a child’s transition from Early Intervention services to the school district or another community program once the child turns 3 years old.
• Collaborate with team members to draw from their knowledge and skills, as well as plan for joint home visits, in order to help strategize with families, as needed.
• Link families to community agencies and resources, as needed.
• Driving to and from visits at family homes and within the community, within Franklin County, with flexibility for occasional home visits, both before and after regular business hours.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Skills:

School Year 2026-27: Teacher Assistant – school year 40 hours per week
TEACHER ASSISTANT (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday): The Childhood League Center, a licensed early childhood education program, has an exciting opportunity for a Teacher Assistant to assist the preschool teaching team in the daily function of classroom management. We seek a high-energy, collaborative, flexible and creative professional with excellent communication skills. This is a school year position with winter and spring breaks.
Job Responsibilities:
• Assists teaching team in an inclusive classroom with children with and without special needs
• Lead small group experiences
• Provide educational support for all children in classroom: provide guidance, lead small groups, attend to children’s needs
• Actively participate with teaching team in educational planning
• Collaborate and communicate with team members to integrate educational and therapeutic strategies into classroom experience
• Prepare and adapt materials for use in the classroom
• Help establish a positive learning environment
• Maintain classroom routines and organization
• Implement and maintain program policies
• Collect data and portfolio development related to assessment, Individual Educational Plan (IEP) progress reports and all goals
