Dear Friends,

We are proud to be a leader in the education and care of our community’s youngest citizens. Since 1945, the women of The Childhood League have remained true to the singular mission of “serving children in need.”

Today, The Childhood League Center is home to six vibrant early childhood classrooms providing exceptional early learning opportunities for children with and without special needs in an inclusive environment. In addition, the Center is one of only nine Franklin County Help Me Grow providers serving children and families, many living in poverty, through the HMG home visitation program to promote health, wellness and the early identification of developmental delays.

Our young learners are part of an enriched learning community that includes licensed early childhood teachers, teacher assistants, therapists specializing in occupational, physical and speech and language, social workers, certified drivers, health professionals, community volunteers and families. Our educational approach is based on relationships and celebrates every child’s natural curiosity. Attention is given to each child’s unique capabilities, developmental needs and interests to ensure active, inquiry-based learning.

We believe that all children are born with an innate desire to connect. It is natural for children to not only want to be loved, but also to give love. The Center’s commitment to inclusion ensures that all children feel a sense of belonging and each learns to value differences, as well as, our shared humanity.

Our staff of 47 professionals, along with our dedicated League members and families, creates an atmosphere of love and learning that changes lives every day.
