  • About Our Programs

    The Childhood League Center offers top-quality education, therapies, and interventions to children with special needs, birth through age 6. We partner with families for a holistic, team approach to improve outcomes for every child.

  • Early Intervention for Children with Delays
    (home-based, birth through age 3)
    Here’s what you need to know:
    • Your child must be linked with Help Me Grow and have qualified for services
    • Your child must live in Franklin County
    • We partner directly with you to gain skills to help your child

    If your child meets these qualifications or if you would like additional information, contact Megan Kloss at (614) 253-6933, ext. 204.

    If you suspect your child has a delay and but are not yet connected with Help Me Grow, contact Help Me Grow directly at (614) 227-9860 to make a referral.

    Toddler Classes for Children with and without Delays
    (Center-based, 2 years old)
    Here’s what you need to know:
    • Inclusion is a core value as we believe each child benefits by learning with and from each other
    • Every child benefits from our expert staff in our developmentally appropriate, social, play-based learning environment
    • Your child must live in Franklin County
    • You must be able to provide transportation to and from The Center

    Important to note: The Center is primarily a special needs school and does not offer daycare services.

    For information on what you can expect regarding your child’s health and development during the first 5 years of life, review these milestones.

    Preschool for Children with Delays
    (Center-based program, ages 3 – 6)
    Here’s what you need to know:
    • Your child must have qualified for special education services through your local school district, as well as have an Individualized Education Plan (an IEP).
      We will also request your child’s Evaluation Team Report (ETR).
    • Your child must live in Franklin County
    • You must be able to provide transportation to and from The Center

    If your child meets these qualifications or if you would like additional information, contact Kristin Clark at (614) 253-6933, ext. 208. If your child does not have an IEP and does not have special needs, there are also limited preschool spots available for typically developing peers.

    Preschool for Children without Delays
    (Center-based program, ages 3 – 6)
    Here’s what you need to know:
    • Inclusion is a core value as we believe each child benefits by learning with and from each other
    • Every child benefits from our expert staff in our developmentally appropriate, social, play-based learning environment
    • Your typically developing child must be potty-trained
    • Your child must live in Franklin County
    • You must be able to provide transportation to and from The Center
    Important to note: The Center is an early childhood program and does not offer daycare services.

  • The Center’s school year program runs from September to May, but we accept referrals throughout the calendar year.

  • Did You Know?

    The Childhood League offers fully inclusive preschool classes at The Center, which are for students with special needs and those who are typically developing.
